Primary Blog/Good Girl Conditioning Is Keeping You Broke—Here’s How to Break Free

Girl, Your Good Girl Conditioning Has You Broke

Let’s call it what it is:

You weren’t born broke, confused about money, or afraid to want more.

You were trained into it.

Trained to be polite.

Trained to be pleasing.

Trained to not “ask for too much.”

Trained to be grateful for scraps while giving more than you had to spare.

I’m literally exhausted by just writing it.

And then when money doesn’t feel like enough, when it disappears too fast or never shows up in the first place, you blame yourself.

You assume you’re just “bad with money.”

Undisciplined. Unfocused. Not cut out for wealth.

But that’s not the truth. That’s your good girl conditioning talking.

Good Girl Conditioning Actually Sounds Like

  • “It would be selfish to want more when other people have so much less.”
  • “I don’t need to be wealthy. I just want to pay the bills.”
  • “My parents gave up so much for me, I can’t just spend on myself now.”
  • “My kids need this more than I do. I’ll be fine.”
  • “I’ll start investing in myself once I’ve paid off this debt.”
  • “We don’t need a fancy vacation. We can just drive to Grandma’s again.”
  • “I can’t buy this shirt from Anthropologie. I should be doing responsible mom things, not browsing expensive clothes.”“I don’t need that... I’ll make do with what I have.”

This thinking feels responsible.

It feels like caution. Like respectfulness.

But it’s actually a cage.

And while you’re stuck trying to “get it right,” money just keeps feeling slippery or scary or both.

What This Conditioning Costs You

It keeps you undercharging.

It keeps you second-guessing.

It keeps you waiting for permission.

It keeps you believing the answer is “try harder” or “do more.”

When really, the answer is to unlearn the patterns that are keeping you stuck.

Because financial power doesn’t come from being a better budgeter or finally finding the perfect spreadsheet.

It comes from feeling safe enough to take up space.

To make big decisions.

To trust yourself to hold more.

To stop proving your worth and start owning it.

This Isn’t a Judgment. It’s a Wake-Up Call.

Your brain is doing what it was wired to do, keep you safe in a world that taught you safety meant being likable, agreeable, humble, and self-sacrificing.

But you’re allowed to outgrow that. Because WHERE & WHEN ARE YOU BEING CONSIDERED?

You're allowed to want more and have more without guilt.

You're allowed to build wealth in a way that actually supports your nervous system.

You're allowed to become the kind of woman who doesn’t just hope she has enough, she knows she’s creating it.

Where to Start?

Start by playing.

That’s why I turned The Big Money Game concept from Abraham-Hicks into an email series, a totally free 40-day daily imagination practice to help you reconnect to your desires, dismantle your scarcity beliefs, and actually feel the possibility of wealth in your body.

It’s the easiest, most surprising way to shift how you think about money and start becoming the woman who has more than enough.
